Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Sleep Bible (the “Service”), operated by SetApart Ministries (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in South Africa, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is the Sleep Bible web application and website at sleepbible.app, including all related features, content, and functionality. The Service runs in your web browser on any device; no native mobile application is currently offered.

2. Description of Service

Sleep Bible is a faith-based audio content platform that provides narrated Scripture, Bible stories, and sleep-focused content with calming soundscapes. The Service is designed to help users deepen their faith while preparing for sleep.

3. Accounts & Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised access

You may sign in using your email address or via third-party authentication providers (Google). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Free Tier

Sleep Bible offers a free tier with limited access, including five complete free books and select ambient sounds. No payment is required for the free tier.

4.2 Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions unlock unlimited content, including all 66 Bible books, premium stories and journeys, and additional features as they are released. Premium is available as:

• Monthly: $9.99/month (USD)
• Yearly: $59.99/year (USD) - save 50%

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Paddle, our payment partner, and managed via your Sleep Bible account settings.

Subscription management and entitlement verification is handled by RevenueCat to ensure consistent access across all your devices.

4.4 Free Trial

We offer a 7-night free trial for Premium subscriptions. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable rate.

4.5 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period, after which your subscription will not renew.

Web purchases are non-refundable, including Premium subscriptions and one-time Lifetime or Founding Member purchases. Premium subscriptions start with a 7-night free trial (cancel before it ends and you will not be charged), and the free tier lets you try Sleep Bible before any one-time purchase. 5. Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content available through Sleep Bible - including audio narrations, text, images, soundscapes, music, and compilations - is owned by or licensed to SetApart Ministries and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Limited Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, redistribute, or publicly perform our content
• Download content except through any official offline feature we may offer
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the content for commercial purposes
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems to access the Service

5.3 Bible Text

Bible text used in Sleep Bible is from the World English Bible (WEB), which is in the public domain. Our narrated audio recordings of this text are original productions and remain our intellectual property.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
• Circumvent any content protection or access restrictions

7. Availability & Service Updates

We are committed to keeping Sleep Bible available and to honouring the access you have unlocked. We strive to keep the Service available at all times, though we cannot promise it will always be free of occasional, temporary interruptions. From time to time we may:

• Improve, update, or refine individual features so the Service keeps getting better
• Add to, refresh, or occasionally update or replace specific pieces of content as our library grows and licences change
• Perform maintenance that may briefly affect availability

These changes are about improving Sleep Bible, not taking it away. Your Premium, Lifetime, and Founding Member access stays valid, and updating or replacing an individual piece of content does not reduce the overall premium access you paid for.

We will not revoke or meaningfully reduce the access you have already paid for at our own discretion. Where a change is genuinely required, for example by law or because we can no longer license a specific piece of content, we will give you reasonable advance notice.

We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by a temporary interruption to the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• The content will be accurate or complete
• Any defects will be corrected

Sleep Bible is a devotional and entertainment service. The content is not intended as professional spiritual counselling, medical advice, or a substitute for professional help.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, SetApart Ministries (Pty) Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SetApart Ministries (Pty) Ltd from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notifying you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Any change to these Terms will not revoke or materially reduce the Premium, Lifetime, or Founding Member access you have already purchased.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
